A Hybrid Steam Jet Vacuum Has the Following Characteristics:

Advantages:

• Low-level installation is possible. The LRVP pumps out both the condensate as well as the non-
  condensables from the intercondenser (operating under vacuum).
• Additional scrubbing and condensing in the LRVP maximizes removal of air pollutants
• System package is the most compact
• Reduces steam consumption

Disadvantages:

• Adds moving parts, somewhat increasing maintenance attention
• Requires electricity
• Somewhat more expensive if the LRVP package is made in high end corrosion resistant metals
